Some call it Hump Day

IT'S.....WEDNESDAY!!!! two more days until the weekend!

So....last week at work was Nurse's appreciation week and this week is National Nursing Home week. I have to say, I have been insanely proud of our marketing and HR directors, because they have gone out of their way to truly make sure they are appreciating their staff. My husband works at a skilled nursing facility as well and he didn't even know last week was Nurse appreciation week, while we had activities to celebrate every day.

For nursing home week, we have had karaoke (::shudders:: i got sucked into singing, but it's for the residents right?) =), bingo, a luau, and cookout. So for me, I am truly appreciating the staff who are taking the time to recognize and appreciate those who work hard in this facility.

If anyone knows someone who works in skilled nursing or long-term care, be sure to let them know you appreciate them. They frequently do much and get little recognition or appreciation for all they do.

2 Corinthians 9:13-14
Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, men will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else. And in their prayers for you their hearts will go out to you, because of the surpassing grace God has given you.

IT only takes a moment to say Thank You, but it can go such a long way.

God, please help me to take the time to thank and appreciate those in my life, for the little things that go such a long way.
