Thoughts on Wednesday

"Do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who are cruel to you." Luke 6:27-28

Sometimes I need help remembering that God did not promise that things would always be easy, and that when things are difficult it does not give me an excuse to lower my expectation of myself, or be ugly in return. I need to take it as a lesson. Instead of "hating" the other person, I should lift them up in prayer. We never know what is going on in someone else's life.

"God, please help me to be patient, to love all, to respect all, and the ask for blessings to be poured out on everyone, that they may see you reflected through me daily."

  1. It is indeed a great struggle living blameless and reflecting God's love through our thoughts and actions.

Recently faced with a set of challenges, I came face to face with the realization that only believers are led by the Holy Spirit and can appeal to one another in the times when we fall. The devil is really on the prowl, waiting to kill, steal and destroy.

Ephesians 6:12 "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." brings me back into a peaceful place with God.
